Overview

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst provides strengths-based, family centered, in-office and community-based ABA services, according to specific contracts and associated agency/licensing requirements. The Board Certified Behavior Analyst is responsible for developing ABA Treatment Plans and Functional Behavior Assessments, and providing consultation and training to others in the use of teaching and behavior intervention strategies.

Responsibilities

  •  Coaches team members on how to develop proactive, strength-based, family centered, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans, Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA's), and Antecedent/Behavior/Consequence (ABC) Treatment Plans for families receiving services, in collaboration with Supervisor, Director, Clinical Director and other consultants.
  • Conducts observations using FBA analysis tools to determine current baseline and function of behavior
  • Analyzes data to develop ABC Treatment Plans and FBA's.
  • Develops ABC Teaching Plans and FBA's using designated forms.
  • Sets discharge criteria for service and supports a generalization plan for CFT/ART.
  • Completes progress notes using the appropriate codes in Electronic Health Record (EHR) within 24 hours of service.
  • Provides consultation to Child and Family Team (CFT)/Adult Recovery Team (ART) regarding behavior intervention strategies.
  • Trains CFT/ART how to implement teaching strategies outlined in ABC teaching plan and FBA.
  • Sets discharge criteria for service, and supports a generalization plan for CFT/ART.
  • Assists in the development of supervision protocols in line with the standards set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

 

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Specified Master’s degree in a field related to Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Current licensure as an Arizona behavior health professional required.

Legal Requirements

  • CPR and First Aid certification (ICHD provides training).
  • Arizona Driver’s License, 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration and liability insurance that meets insurance requirements.
  • Eligible for Level 1 fingerprint clearance.
  • A current negative TB test result (ICHD provides).

Prefered Requirements 

  • Prior experience in providing clinical supervision in a behavioral health setting preferred.
