Overview

A long-time leader in the provision of social and educational services to at-risk populations in Arizona, Intermountain Centers for Human Development has an office and school located in the Menlo Park Neighborhood of Tucson, AZ.

 

Position Overview:

 

The Administrative Assistant serves as a team member providing support to the Program Director; performs word processing and general office duties in accordance with agency policy and procedures; maintains confidentiality of information received.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports the organization’s policies, goals and objectives, working with management and other staff to achieve such goals and objectives.
  • Provides secretarial support to the Regional Director through word processing, filing, copying, collating, scanning, faxing, organizing and preparing materials for distribution.
  • Acts as receptionist providing phone information or referral as appropriate, takes messages, schedules meetings, and maintains office calendar of activities and appointments.
  • Organizes and maintains general office files.
  • Orders, inventories and dispenses office supplies.
  • Completes word processing and data entry of a general nature for the Pinal County programs.
  • Maintains an approved schedule and acceptable level of attendance.

Qualifications

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures, and business English
  • Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office Systems, to include Word, Excel and Outlook applications; familiarity with records/data management systems
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and positively with co-workers and the public using a customer service orientation.
  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, reach with one or both hands, move hands and fingers quickly and frequently and lift up to 25 lbs. on occasion.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish verbal skills encouraged.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate’s degree in a related field, or Business/Office certification preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalency required.
  • One year prior related experience preferred.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report that meets insurance requirements
  • Eligible for DPS Level One fingerprint clearance.
  • Current negative TB test result (ICHD provides).
