Overview

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced Behavioral Health Supervisor/Manager who is interested in overseeing and developing services to a broad population of children and their families within our integrated health care program in Pinal County.  The Program Director will provide overall management and supervision to our outpatient and in-home services in Pinal County and will work closely with other administrators in developing and providing a variety of programs and services to meet community need.  The Program Director is responsibility for the day to day operations of the behavioral health office and its programs including staff supervision, quality management and the development of new services and client programs for a variety of behaviors, ages and adult/childhood/adolescent conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Supports ICHD’s mission, goals and management decisions; promotes ICHD’s empirical behavioral model in program services.
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with various officials and professional workers, the Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA), and the State of Arizona
  • Serves as the central point of contact for program services; provides positive public relations for all Intermountain programs.
  • Manages complaints, including resolution and follow-up, in collaboration with Intermountain Centers’ CEO.
  • Provides administrative support, leadership and oversight for program.
  • Working collaboratively with Human Resources, has overall responsibility for hiring, developing, retaining, evaluating, disciplining and discharging program staff.
  • Consults with CEO regarding all legal issues, serious programmatic issues, and critical events.
  • Provides clinical supervision to program staff on a weekly basis.
  • Provides administrative supervision of assigned supervisory and support staff.
  • Fills in for supervisors as needed; is on-call for program emergencies.
  • Participates in annual budget preparation, in conjunction with CEO and CFO, and is accountable for program’s adherence to annual budget parameters.
  • Follows agency purchasing and accounting procedures; ensures support and program staff do also.
  • Ensures program staff receive annual and in-service training, and coaching, on an on-going basis.
  • Participates in Management Team meetings, Intermountain conferences, and other agency-related meetings as necessary.
  • Conducts regular all-staff meetings for program staff.
  • Ensures that cleanliness and safety standards for the program are met, and that physical plants and vehicles are maintained.
  • Ensures that client files are maintained in accordance with Intermountain and contractual standards.
  • Ensures that program data is collected through established protocols to document outcome measures.
  • Maintains an approved schedule and acceptable level of attendance.

Qualifications

 

·         Education -  Master’s degree in a field eligible for Behavioral Health licensure preferred; Bachelor’s degree acceptable, if employee is eligible for Behavioral Health licensure

·         License – Arizona Behavioral Health license; independent licensure preferred.

·         Experience –  

o   Prior work experience in a behavioral health program

o   5 years of supervisory/management experience, preferably in a behavioral health program.

·         Special Job Requirement – Able to provide own, reliable, transportation.

·         Regulatory -

o   21 years of age

o   Current, valid Arizona Driver’s License, 39 month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration and liability coverage to meet insurance requirements.

o   Eligible for DPS Level I fingerprint clearance.

o   First Aide, CPR  certification (Employer provides)

o       Initial, current, negative TB test result (Employer provides)
