  • Overview

    Provides psychiatric services to members receiving services through the ICCA.

    Responsibilities

    • Prescribes, directs, or administers psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
    • Gathers and maintains members’ information and records, including social or medical history obtained from member, relatives, or other professionals.
    • Collaborates with physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals and members of the CFT/ART to discuss treatment plans and progress.
    • Analyzes and evaluates member data to diagnose nature or extent of mental disorder.
    • Analyzes data to advise or inform member, family, CFT/ART and other professionals of diagnosis or treatment recommendations.
    • Provides counseling and coordination of care during office visits as needed
    • Prepares and submits member reports through the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
    • Completes all training required by licensing, agency, and funding source.
    • Maintains an approved schedule and acceptable level of attendance.
    • Completes documentation of patient visits within 24 hours of appointment time

    Qualifications

    • Education – MD, DO
    • License – Licensed to practice medicine in Arizona (training license acceptable)
    • Experience/Post Graduate Training – Completion of three post graduate years (PGY3) of training
    • Regulatory
    • 21 years of age
    • Eligible for DPS Level I fingerprint clearance.
    • Initial negative TB test result. (Employer provides)
